book by Cynthia Myntti called "Paris along the
Nile" published by the American University in
Cairo Press in 1999. It containes great fotos of
the Cairo you''re thinking of, especially of the
19th century buildings that were built by French
and Italian architects comissioned by the
Khedeve Ismail.
